Choose how to play

Same game, two sets of rules. Clean is the honest campaign and the only one that pays. Modified hands you the levers and asks you not to expect a reward for pulling them. Either way you get one campaign, and there is no saving — so pick a map you can finish.

How paying works. Pick a mode and its cost comes straight out of your wallet when the game starts — once, not per round. What you get for it is set by the mode: how many plays, and which features are switched on. You currently hold ⓓ 0.

Plays belong to the session you start. Leave the game with plays unused and they're gone, so pick the mode that matches how long you actually plan to play.

How to play

A real-time grand strategy campaign on a world generated fresh every time you play. You start with a single capital and one army. Everything else on the map belongs to someone else, or to nobody yet.

Expand region by region, across land and water alike. Raise armies, found cities, put fleets to sea, and plant outposts on open ocean so your territory keeps growing where there is no ground to stand on. Taking a region is the easy part — it only becomes yours after you have held it for a full year with no rival contesting it.

Rule too well and the powers who were busy fighting each other will stop, and come for you together.

**Victory means taking every last land region from every rival power.** That is a long campaign, so read the session length below before you spend.

**Needs a mouse.** The right button issues every order and there are no touch controls, so this one cannot be played on a phone or tablet.
