Doodles are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be cashed out, and cannot be exchanged for anything of value inside or outside PadPlayer.

What Doodles are

Doodles (ⓓ) are a scorekeeping device. They let games on PadPlayer have stakes — you can wager them, win them, and spend them on in-game features — without anyone risking real money.

Think of them the way you'd think of the play money in a board game. The amounts are real within the game. They are not real outside it.

How you get them

ⓓ 25,000 free when you register.
ⓓ 20,000 free every 7 days after that.
By winning them in games.
By earning badges.

You cannot buy Doodles. PadPlayer does not sell them and does not accept payment of any kind. There is no way to spend real money on this Site.

What you cannot do with them

To be completely explicit — you cannot:

Cash them out, withdraw them, or redeem them for money.
Exchange them for goods, services, gift cards, or cryptocurrency.
Sell them, buy them, or trade them with other players.
Transfer them to another account, including your own second account.
Claim them as an asset, a debt owed to you, or a store of value.

Attempting to sell or trade Doodles — on this Site or anywhere else — violates the Terms & Conditions and may result in your account being closed and the balance removed.

You don't own them

Doodles are licensed to you for use on PadPlayer. They remain the property of PadPlayer. A balance shown on your account is a record of your progress, not a property right and not a debt we owe you.

We can change or remove them

We may adjust, reset, or remove Doodles balances at our discretion. Reasons we might do this include:

Correcting a bug that awarded incorrect amounts.
Reversing gains obtained through cheating or exploits.
Rebalancing the economy so games stay fun.
Retiring a game or feature.

We'll try to be fair and to explain ourselves, but we're not obligated to, and you're not entitled to compensation.

If the Site shuts down

If PadPlayer stops operating — temporarily or permanently — any Doodles balance disappears with it. You are owed nothing. We'd try to give advance notice, but there is no guarantee and no obligation.

This is not gambling

Some games on PadPlayer use entry fees or wagers denominated in Doodles. This is a game mechanic, not gambling:

No real money is ever staked.
No real money or thing of value can ever be won.
No purchase is required, or possible, to obtain Doodles.
Running out costs you nothing — you get more free, automatically.

That said, if wagering mechanics of any kind are something you'd rather avoid, you're free to play only the games that don't use them, or not to use the Site at all.

Taxes

Because Doodles have no monetary value and cannot be converted to anything of value, we do not consider them income and issue no tax documentation. If you have questions about your own tax situation, ask a qualified tax professional — we can't advise you.
